I'm a software engineer from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. For the past five years I have built data-intensive systems for companies in Sweden and South Korea: analytics platforms, data pipelines, and distributed storage. Most of my work sits close to data, collecting it, cleaning it, and making it useful.
Before software, my background was physics and mathematics. That training is what pulled me toward machine learning. The problems I deal with in production, like messy data and rare but important events, are the same problems machine learning research cares about.
For the last year I have been studying machine learning seriously, in public. My GitHub has small runnable projects with real results: benchmarks for imbalanced classification, reproducible training baselines, and a CLIP-based image search tool. I am preparing to apply for a PhD in computer science.
